Job Description of Remote Sensing Branch
To assist in the publication of geological surveys and geological maps.

• Collecting, analyzing, remote sensing, and GIS up-to-date satellite data and aerial photographs for geo-scientific research. Assisting in geo-scientific research using technology.

• To prepare all the data obtained from the geological study research used in various works in the digital database (GIS).

• Managing, referencing, and cataloging the reports and maps of the works done by the department and storing the old data in a tight manner.

• Prepare digital data and protect the data obtained from all geological studies and research used in various activities

Physical facilities that are available in the branch: Erdas Imagine 8.4, ArcGIS 10, A0 color plotter/Scanner.
