Main Objective of Seismic Hazard Evaluation Section:

• To study seismic activities, active faults, and seismic sources and assess seismic hazards.                                                                     
• To identify and classify seismically hazardous areas and prepare seismic hazard maps.                                           
• To provide seismic information, technical recommendations, and scientific inputs for land-use planning, infrastructure development, and disaster risk reduction.
